Due to the recent events, our community has been surrounded by a lot of heavy feelings and questions about the future. Because of this, the Best Buy Teen Tech Center at CLUES invites youth from 12-20 years old to participate in the creation of a documentary film that can help us all to create community and give us the space to process your feelings and thoughts around the issues that our community is experiencing.
If you don’t feel comfortable filming yourself, you can also choose to interview your family members or friends. Here are some points that we would like you to address. YOU DON’T have to address all of them, but please do answer the main questions in bold.
- How has COVID19 impacted you and your family?
Here are some questions for you to think about:
- How do you feel about your online classes?
- What are your concerns surrounding COVID and what are you doing to ensure you are safe?
- Are your parents essential workers? How has this impacted your family?
- What are your thoughts on the recent protests that have affected our community?
Here are some questions for you to think about:
- Have you or your family members experienced discrimination?
- How do you feel when you see everything that is happening on the news and in your life?
- What kind of changes would you like to see within your community or the world?
Here are some questions for you to think about:
- How are you going to be part of the change?
- Would you like to have the chance to work in your local government to create the community that you would like to see?

Your video should be 1-5 minutes long. You can use the site WeTransfer where you can just upload the file and send it to the emails above.
If you like to participate, please send all videos to the following emails through the WeTransfer site or upload to YOU TUBE and share link on your video.
