CLUES Artist Leaders Responding to COVID-19

Under COVID-19, the Latino community is struggling in terms of healthcare access, lost income, housing and food insecurity, mental health, and so many other issues.

We invite Latino artists to step up as leaders and to collaborate with CLUES to respond to the current crisis in diverse, creative, and empowering ways. CLUES will develop an interactive art exhibit with your work, which will include online, outdoor, and (if possible) indoor components.  We expect to install this exhibit in July, permitting public health guidelines. The deadline for this application is June 26, 2020.  However, please apply as soon as possible, as early applicants will be given preference

Visual artists, conceptual artists, artisans and craftspeople, musicians, poets, writers, and dancers are all eligible to apply.

Please use this form to describe art that you are already working on, or a project that you would like to undertake this summer, and you would like to submit as art for the exhibit.  We’ll reach out to ask for images, if applicable.

In addition to the exhibit, 15-30 artists will be selected to engage in a collaborative process of community engagement with CLUES, and will receive a financial award ($300 – $1,500, depending on experience, project, and role).

Artistas Líderes de CLUES Respondiendo a la COVID-19

Bajo el COVID-19, la comunidad latina se ha visto afectada con problemas como el acceso a la atención médica, pérdida de ingresos, inseguridades de vivienda y alimentación, salud mental, y muchos otros desafíos. 

Invitamos a artistas latinos a ser líderes durante esta crisis, y a que colaboren con CLUES para responder a la pandemia y a la crisis económica por medio de su arte de maneras diversas, creativas, y poderosas. CLUES expondrá sus trabajos en una exhibición de arte con componentes al aire libre, virtuales, y (si es posible) dentro de nuestra galería. Planeamos instalar la exhibición en julio, si se permite bajo las regulaciones de salud pública. 

La fecha límite para completar este formulario es el 26 de junio, 2020.  Sin embargo, favor de completarlo lo antes posible, ya que se dará preferencia a las primeras propuestas.

CLUES solicita propuestas de artistas de todos los medios: artes plásticas, baile, música, literatura, poesía, artesanía, manualidades, etc.

Favor de usar este formulario para describir los proyectos de arte que quieras completar este verano, o que ya hayas completado, y que quieras que se incluyan en la exhibición.  Le escribiremos para pedir imágenes, en caso de ser arte visual.

Además de la exhibición, entre 15 y 30 artistas basados en Minnesota serán selectos para participar en un proceso artístico de colaboración comunitario y recibirán un premio por participación (entre $300 y $1,500, dependiendo del proyecto, experiencia del artista, y papel colaborativo con CLUES).
